Giggles Paisano

In playing with Sarina this weekend we heard her first giggle. She gave us a loud cackle and laugh when piling on a kiss-attack. Smita's readings told her the four month milestones include rolling over and giggling. She hit them both a week early...

Easter dinner at Alex & Harriet's place

Alex and Harriet were kind enough to invite us over for Easter dinner last week. Little did we know that Harriet had cooked up a storm and we were up for a fancy Easter feast. Sarina enjoyed her first easter... chocolate bunnies, celery crosses and all. She also finally got to meet Aunt Harriet and uncle Alex...

OH BOY... Look who learned how to roll-over....

I'll give you a clue.. it wasn't Daddy... he claims he already knows how.

We both happened to be watching this morning as we were giving Sarina tummy time, when BAM... she rolled over. I think she was as shocked as we were. Luckily, we happened to have the camera running and captured her first roll-over. After that first one, she quickly turned into a roll-over machine and rolled over a few more times.... Here's a video of her first (and second) roll-overs...

lil'jain and moo-moo

Sarina loves her little cow toy. Our friend Seema, named her cow friend moo-moo (formerly known as Mr. Cow). Here's a few pictures of Sarina and moo-moo.. Sarina loves to kiss moo-moo (ok, she likes to lick his nose - that is sort of a kiss, right?) In any case, the two of them sound like a hip-hop duo... I can see it now, "tonight at the colliseum, Lil'Jain and Moo-moo... (with opening act Lil'Kim and Nee-yo)"

The great outdoors

Another beautiful day in San Francisco called for some time outdoors. We headed up to Marin where he did a short trail on Mt. Tam. to get to 'the tourist club' - a great little german pub in the middle of Mt. Tam. We then headed to Tiburon to walk around and relax at the Lodge at Tiburon - one of our new favorite places to go in the evening....

Sunny day calls for a new hat!

We went out for a nice city walk last weekend on a warm sunny day. To keep little Sarina protected, we put on a cute new hat!

Mommy and the window

If there are two things Sarina loves most they are her Mommy and the window. Of course she loves her Mommy... she loves and takes care of her and is a wonderful Mommy. Sarina also loves big window overlooking 16th street. She loves staring at all the action - the cars, buses, pedestrians, etc. Put the two together and she is in heaven. I think we have a future city girl on our hands...

And a little video...

Here's a couple little videos of Sarina holding her head up and looking around...

Look who is holding her own head up!

Over the last week or two Sarina has gained good head control. She can now hold her head by herself and when on her tummy, lifts her head to have a look around!

Akhila's Birthday party

Sarina got to go to her friend, Akhila's first birthday party. She dressed up in her little mouse outfit (I call her mighty mouse when she wears it)... Happy birthday Akhila!

Look at all the people!

Mighty Mouse!:

Fancy birthday cake!:

All this partying knocked out little Sarina (so tired she slept without being swaddled !):

Doing taxes with Daddy...

Sarina got to hang out on Daddy's lap while he worked on taxes. I think the expressions speak for themselves as to who was having fun....

Sarina says: Oh boy, oh boy, I get to sit on Daddy's lap all morning.. this is so much fun!
Daddy says: I hate taxes.

Sarina Says: It fun to hang out on Daddy's lap but this tax stuff is getting tiring
Daddy says: I hate taxes.

Handful of pics from the last couple weeks

Here's a handful of photos from the last couple weeks. She's getting bigger and more playful. She likes playing with toys, can hold her head by herself and everyday seems to learn a new trick or two...

Our Happy Family!

On Sunday, we spent the morning with a wonderful photographer that a friend recommended. Veronica followed us around our apartment taking photos, and then we walked around the neighborhood. She did an amazing job of capturing our lives - the things that mean the most to us - our marriage, our family, the fun we have with Sarina, our unique neighborhood. We both felt intensely lucky when we first saw the video below of the photos - for we are truly blessed to have the life and family we do. We hope you enjoy as much as we did. Make sure the sound is on too!
